Aspen Film Shortsfest: Mon-Sun, April 1-7 in Aspen and Carbondale: One of the continent’s best annual short film festivals and Oscar-qualifying showcases. Several venues are showing international short films, defined as 40 minutes or less in length.

Taste Of Vail: Wed-Fri, April 3-6: The 32nd annual Taste of Vail is the largest food and wine festival in Eagle County. Enjoy wine and food vendors against a beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

Denver Auto Show: Thur-Sun, April 4-7 at the Colorado Convention Center: A premier showcase of the newest and hottest models of the year, including both domestic and imported vehicles.

Rocky Mountain Train Show: Sat-Sun, April 6-7 at the National Western Complex: Showcasing more than 20 manufacturers, 50 vendors, and 20 operating layouts, the annual Rocky Mountain Train Show has something for every train lover. There is even a junior engineering program for children.

Women+Film Festival: Thur-Sun, April 11–14 at the Sie FilmCenter
The Women+Film Festival is a four-day live event screening over a dozen outstanding features, shorts and documentaries celebrating female filmmakers behind the camera and stories of women on the screen. Produced by Denver Film, the programming team promises a lineup of the best new films to inspire and transform paired with exciting events supporting local talent.

Taste of Pearl: Sun, April 14 at Pearl Street Mall in Boulder: Spend an unforgettable afternoon exploring Boulder’s tantalizing culinary arts scene and celebrating Colorado’s distinctive wineries and distilleries, all while strolling through some of Downtown Boulder’s most vibrant galleries and retail boutiques.

Colorado Tartan Day Festival: Sat-Sun, April 13-14 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds: An annual event celebrating all things Scottish, the Colorado Tartan Day Festival is free to attend and fun for the entire family. Activities at the festival include a parade, face painting, combat demonstrations, and live music.

Long Live Tattoo Festival: April 19–21 at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk: As a new and exciting Colorado-based tattoo festival, Long Live is set to showcase a fusion of artistic talent, live art, tattoo contests and unique seminars.

Durango Bluegrass Meltdown: Fri-Sun, April 19-21: Three days of concerts showcasing bluegrass bands from around the country. Special events include a Durango-style barn dance, Saturday night ‘Celtdown’, and music in local restaurants and bars. The headquarters is in the historic Strater Hotel.

Mountain Plover Festival: Fri-Sat, April 26-28 in Karval: The only event of its kind in the US, and you’re likely to spot not only plovers but also prairie dogs, big-horned owls, and other migratory birds.

Durango Wine Experience: Fri-Sat, April 26-27: 2-day annual wine festival showcasing hundreds of craft wines, spirits, and beers. The Walk-About Durango is a wine tasting held Friday and the Grand Tasting starts Saturday afternoon.
