April Events

April is:

  • National Brunch Month: Celebrate at Lucile’s Creole Cafe. I love their spice tea (it’s not everyone’s… cup of tea, lol), their beignets, and their jalapeno cheese grits. They make a mean Bloody Mary, too.

  • National Volunteer Month: Celebrate by volunteering for an Earth Day clean-up! There are events all around the city and state including LoDo, Arvada, and Boulder. They do ask that you register ahead of time.

  • National Scottish-American Heritage Month: Celebrate at the Colorado Tartan Day Festival, for all things Scottish, Boulder County Fairgrounds, April 8-9, 2023

  • National Soft Pretzel Month: Celebrate at Baere Brewing with a beer. Patio days are almost here.

  • National Jazz Appreciation Month: Celebrate at The Meadowlark, an absolute Denver staple. Live jazz every Monday with no cover. Have a little fun on a school night.

  • National Gardening Month: Celebrate by visiting the highest botanical gardens in North America at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. A must-see, especially if you make the trip to the Taste of Vail!

  • National Fair Housing Month: Read my other blog post to see what this means for you as a buyer or seller, and for me as your agent.

Taste of Vail, April 5-8, 2023: Taste of Vail showcases more than 30 of Vail's finest chefs and restaurateurs alongside the owners and winemakers from nearly 50 of the countries' top wineries. Full schedule and passes here.

Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, April 21-23: Every April, the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown breaks up the long Southwest Colorado winter with incredible bluegrass music, a barn dance, and other celebrations for visitors. If you haven’t been to Durango, you have to check it out. It’s such a fun town. Tickets to the event can be purchased here.
