It’s Christmastime in the city! Check out all there is to explore in Denver this holiday season.

Warren Miller Film Tour: Multiple dates throughout Colorado in December. An annual film tour following skiers and snowboarders as they take on the snow. From backyard hills to mega mountains, this tour kicks off the winter season with a bang.

Denver Botanic Gardens Blossoms of Light: through January 12, 2025 (closed Nov. 28 and Dec. 25): A stroll through the Denver Botanic Gardens is a delightful way to celebrate the holiday season. The Blossoms of Light extravaganza is a twinkling and breathtaking way to spend a winter evening.

Denver Christkindlmarket: through December 23 at Civic Center Park. 24th year for the month-long Christkindl Market in downtown Denver. Experience old German traditions with authentic cuisine, live music, holiday drinks, and an artisan marketplace.

Cherry Creek Holiday Market: Through December 24. Outdoor holiday shopping, with musical performances and the Mistletoe Lounge Pop-up Christmas Bar.

Polar Express Train Ride: through January 1, 2025 in Durango. Aboard the Polar Express Train Ride, you and your family will be swept away into an elaborate holiday fantasy complete with hot chocolate, a light show, holiday music, and, of course, Santa.

Mistletoe Market: Through December 22, weekends, noon to 5 p.m. at the Dairy Block in Denver. Offering a wide variety of local Colorado vendors (with twelve new vendors each weekend), live carolers and holiday music, festive cocktails, photo ops, a screen-printing station and custom gift wrapping.

ICE! Christmas at Gaylord Rockies: Fri-Sun, November 22, 2024 – January 1, 2025. Annual holiday lights and ice display held at Gaylord Rockies Resort, home to Arapahoe Springs Waterpark. Book an overnight package that combines entertainment and makes the most of this Christmas celebration.

Winter on the Mountain: Saturday, December 7, 14, and 21, Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs. Holiday festivities at over 7,000 feet on Iron Mountain. See more than 500,000 lights, meet Santa and listen to live music at Winter on the Mountain.

Olde Golden Holiday Parade: Saturday, December 14, Downtown Golden. Floats, clowns, festive holiday characters, and Santa Claus on the fire truck parade down Washington Avenue.

Ullr Fest: Thurs-Sat, December 12-14 in Breckenridge. Festival celebrating the winter god of Norse mythology, now in its 61st year. Shenanigans include frying pans, Viking hats, “Ullympic” competitions, and a floats parade.

Christmas in the Gold Camps: Thur-Sat, December 12-14 in Cripple Creek. Get into the holiday spirit by enjoying a weekend of fun full of festive activities, a winter parade, and a light show.

Lakewood Holiday Bazaar: Sun - Tues, December 15-17. Indoor marketplace with more than fifty curated vendors, fashion and food trucks, pop-up bars, live music and Belmar’s outdoor ice skating rink.

Christmas in Color Drive-Thru Animated Light Show: through December 29. Drive through millions of lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music on your radio, 5:30-10 p.m. nightly. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, 18300 West Alameda Parkway, Morrison; Water World, 8800 Pecos Street, Federal Heights; Arapahoe County Fairgrounds, 25690 East Quincy Avenue, Aurora.

Denver Zoo Lights: through January 7. 34th annual Zoo Lights boasting more than 3 million sparkling LED lights, immersive themed light installations, seasonal craft cocktails and holiday treats, and much more.

Mile High Holidays Drone Show:  through December 31. Denver area, west of downtown. More than a dozen colorful Denver- and holiday-themed animated displays will light up the skies nightly; on three tribute nights, the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche will be highlighted.

Luminova Holidays: through December 31 at Elitch Gardens. Luminova Holidays returns for its fourth season! For six weeks, the park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with more than four million twinkling lights, decorated rides and attractions, candy cane tunnels and Santa Claus.
