I’m back this month with all the tricks and treats you should check out this October. I love Halloween and all things fall, so this month’s blog is PACKED with goodies. Grab your trick-or-treat bags and feel free to take everything!

National Hispanic Heritage Month through Oct. 15
Each year, Americans celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Fright Fest at Elitches through Oct. 29
Elitch Gardens transforms into a frighteningly fun haunted theme park, with family-friendly scares during the day and spine-tingling frights by night. Enjoy Halloween decor, spooky live performances, and all your favorite rides!

Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns through Oct. 31
This will delight adults and children alike under a magnificent glow of 7,000 hand-carved pumpkins and larger-than-life pumpkin displays. A magical carnival, a nautical sea-scape, a pirate ship, dinosaurs , and dragons illuminate the grounds of Hudson Gardens in a soft, inviting glow where you’ll find magic around every corner.

Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms Oct. 6–8
Your ticket includes the 10-acre pumpkin patch, corn maze, and family activities like the antique tractor exhibit, hayrides, a mini-maze, face painting, carnival games and bounces, and more. There's also live music, local craft and artisan booths, food trucks and food vendors, and beer and hard cider vendors.

Cider Days at Belmar Park in Lakewood; Oct. 7–8
This family-friendly event features an entertaining mix of live performances, activities, and tasty harvest treats. Watch tractor pulls and vintage power displays, and enjoy wagon and barrel train rides along with other children’s activities. It’s complete without everything apple, including apple pressing and apple cider by the glass or gallon!

Pumpkin Harvest Festival Oct. 14–15 at Four Mile Historic Park
Pick out the perfect pumpkin, build your own scarecrow to take home to protect your garden, and browse for unique local treasures in the marketplace with more than 40 vendors on-site. Catch live music and performances and dine on seasonal favorites like apple cider donuts for an unforgettable day.

Haunted Trail Adventure Oct. 14 at Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood
Experience Bear Creek Lake Park in all its ghoulish magic! Walk along the Owl Trail and discover the critters of the night, enjoy carnival games, and tasty treats. After your adventure, warm your toes by the fire at the amphitheater and enjoy roasting marshmallows and sipping hot chocolate.

The Bloody Mary Festival Oct. 22 at ReelWorks Denver
Denver's Bloody Mary Festival is back for its 10th year, bringing you the best Bloody Marys made by Denver bars, restaurants, and craft mixes! Taste them all before voting for the coveted People's Choice Award.

Ghosts in the Gardens Oct. 29 at Denver Botanic Gardens
Tag along at Denver Botanic Gardens after hours as guides share haunting stories of the Gardens’ 100 years of history inside and outside of what used to be called “The Boneyard.” Each tour features staff ghost stories, real overnight security ghost encounters, and intriguing history, including access to the haunted Waring House, which is not normally open to the public.

The adults-only Halloween party, Coloween. This is the longest-running party in Colorado with mind-blowing production, two massive dance floors, 40 bars, and mind-bending immersive installations. Enjoy exhilarating performers, laser show, and club-style DJs and thousands of costumed attendees compete for the $1500 Best Costume Contest.
