Head to the mountains this January for all the snowy fun imaginable!
The MusicFest at Steamboat: Mon-Sat, January 6-11. The 39th annual Music Fest features fifty bands over six days. Featuring a variety of genres and shows that last from 12 pm-10 pm. Shows are held around town in every venue type from ballrooms to big tents.
National Western Stock Show: Sat-Sun, January 11-26 at the National Western Complex in Denver. Since 1906, the stock shows include rodeos, horse shows, livestock, western art, and more special events spread out over more than 16 days.

Flow: On the River with John Fielder: through January 12th at History Colorado. This is the first in a five-year run of rotating exhibitions in the new John Fielder Mezzanine Gallery which will be dedicated to the stunning photography and conservation work of John Fielder, who devoted his life to documenting and protecting the natural beauties of the Centennial State.
Animals of the Rainforest: through January 19 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Discover the wonders of the rainforest and meet its incredible inhabitants. You'll encounter fascinating live animals, from sloths to reptiles and amphibians. Witness expert animal care demonstrations, learn about conservation efforts, and get up close with these extraordinary creatures.
Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships: Mon-Wed, January 20 – January 29. Witness 20-ton blocks of ice get hand-carved by experts from all over the world. Teams from around the world sculpt around the clock for five days to build the spectacles of art, followed by five days of viewing the masterpieces.
Ouray Ice Festival: Thur-Sun, January 23-26. Biggest ice climbing festival in North America, featuring the world’s best climbers and 100 educational climbing clinics heading into its 30th year.
Winter X Games: Thursday-Saturday, January 23-25 in Aspen. The world’s best athletes in skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling compete another year at Buttermilk.
Snowdown: Fri-Sun, January 24 – February 2 in Durango. Now in its 46th year, this winter celebration features a costume party, follies, parade, and an annually changing theme. This year, it’s Monopoly themed.
Denver Winter Whiskey Tasting Festival: Saturday, January 25. Sample whiskey from over a dozen distillers while meeting the brands at this one-day event.
